Days 1 & 2
We’re at the hotel in London, getting ready to head to the train station to Paris. Arrived in London Friday morning at 11am, and as tired as I was boarding the plane (having only slept 4 hours the night before), I slept through most of the first movie and woke up just as the second movie was starting – so ended up watching the Bridges of Madison County into the wee hours of the morning. By Friday night, I was DEAD tired, I fell asleep on the bus at the end of the Jack the Ripper tour we ended up taking :).

Tower of London
Tower Bridge
Jack the Ripper Tour
St. Paul’s Cathedral
Prime Minister’s House
Buckingham Palace
Trafalgar Square
Museum of Natural History
Picadilly Circus

Not quite sure what I think of London, it’s obviously very big and noisy and crowded. It’s dirtier than I had thought (my poor Sketchers!) and the people are very rude – they don’t seem to know either the words, “I’m sorry” or “Excuse me”. The city itself is impressive (the architecture) and I think I loved St. Paul’s the best – even though I’m non-practicing, I still find inner peace when I’m in a church. We also visited the Whispering Gallery while there, and climbed to the very top which was 500+ squares.
