Taking Steroids is NOT FUN
It is about 10:30 Wednesday night and the end of what was surprisingly not the most tiring day of my life, mostly because I felt strung out throughout most of it. Coworkers described me as being ‘edgy’ and seemingly ‘very mentally alert.’

I refrained from crediting it to steroid use but we all know the truth, I was hopped up.

It was close to 5am when I went to bed last night, and by the time I fell asleep, the birds were chirping and the sun was coming up. It was close to 6am at that time, and my alarm woke me up just before 8. Yes, that works out to two hours sleep.

Everyone kept telling me not to take the pills again tonight but they have no real concept of the hell I have been living through the past few months while covered in a red, raw rash that continuously itches and HURTS. Trying having a rash not only in the usual spots (Hands, arms, neck, upper back, legs) but also on the tops of your thighs, your buttocks, lower back, stomach, breasts. And if you’ve never had itchy nipples, wish it only on your WORST enemies. Too much information I am sure, but I’ve slept 2 hours in the past 40, I have no tact left.

But the rash I have been suffering from is slowly disappearing so about 30 minutes ago I took my 3rd dose (I have 6 days of pills to take, 3 days left). Yes, the rash has been that bad that I would rather go without sleep for almost a week then to live one more day with it.

So. I am going to post this blog, make a cup of camomille tea, light some candles and crawl into a hot bath of epson salts and lavender baby oil. If those surefire sleep remedies don’t send me spiralling into a deep slumber, well – I am sure I will be back to blog in the wee hours of the morn.
